Ramen Can Change The World

Kentaro and the Ramen Flag Band play funky music with advanced jazz chord changes, which you can hear in their newest single, “Ramen Can Change The World.” The band is the continuation of Otonana Trio, which reformed due to financial agendas.

Kentaro plays pretty incredible Joe Pass-level traditional solo jazz guitar, teaches college-level music, performs professionally, and dresses formally times to time. 

But,

His last band, OTONANA Trio, was praised by many:

Why Ramen? you'd ask...

“Around 15 or 20 years ago, Japan had very few options for making money. It was pretty much, ‘Become part of a large corporation, or open a ramen shop...’ and I thought singing about ramen was somehow political, then made a song about fighting with ramen called ‘Ramen War.’”

The “Ramen War” already has a few versions, and the newest versions were released under Visionary Noise / Virgin Music in Fall 2026. “ Ramen Can Change The World” and “We Ramen”.
