Kentaro and The Ramen Flag Band

Kentaro and The Ramen Flag Band is the continued path of OTONANA Trio.

It is Fun, Funky, and Ramen, with misplaced musical skills.

Kentaro plays traditional jazz and has two solo jazz-guitar albums. He gigs at a local lounge, plays gospel in church every Sunday, and moonlights in Top 40 bands across multiple genres. He also teaches 40 hours a week at a local guitar shop and coaches 60 private students (yes, he sleeps sometimes).

Active in the music scene for the past 30 years, he’s played with Dynamite Club and—most notably—Otonana Trio, which toured the world. At those shows he handed out the Ramen Flag and taught crowds to chant, “Ramen War!”

Kentaro’s music is all about entertainment and fun (with occasional comedy), and yes, the occasional flex of actual musical skill. They say singing relationship songs in a cool outfit sells more—audiences didn’t get that memo. Instead they preferred Kentaro singing about ramen and beer... in underwear.

Now partnered with Houston’s Visionary Noise, Kentaro and the Ramen Flag Band sing about love, life, and ramen—so wave your Ramen Flag!

Latest single “Ramen Can Change The World” from Visionary Noise is out now:
